Poster Contest
In order to help the public better understand agriculture, exhibitors can create a poster centered on agriculture. The contest will be broken down by division, Junior 4-H, Intermediate 4-H, Senior 4-H, and FFA. Each division will be rewarded. 4-H leaders and FFA Advisors please pre-screen all entries for correctness and bring only the BEST work to exhibit at the fair.
- Exhibits must be agriculture related.
- Exhibits must be on heavy 22” x 28” poster board of any color.
- Lamination is preferred, but not required.
- The exhibitor’s name, division, and club/chapter must be printed clearly on the back of the entry – please, NO NAMES on the front of the poster.
- The member must prepare their own exhibit.
- All entries are exhibited at exhibitor’s risk.
- All entries must be received by 7 pm, Wednesday night at the lamb barn.
- One entry per exhibitor.
- All entries will be screened by a sifting committee for the following standards:
- Correct size and material
- Correct spelling (if unusual words are used, it is recommended that a notation be made on the back of the exhibit.)
- Correct grammar
- Readability – Posters must be readable from 15 feet. “Readability” is a subjective area; however, it is intended to refer to the readability of the exhibit by the average fairgoer. “Readability” encompasses the overall color, lettering, style, penmanship, and placement in relation to the graphics, neatness and letter size.
- The board of directors reserves the right to disqualify any projects that do not meet the quality standards of the fair. Incomplete work may not be entered.
- Entries will be displayed as space and aesthetics allow on Thursday.
- Entries must remain in place until after 8:30 pm on Saturday. Entries left on grounds will disposed of.
